Compost. Regrow. Repeat.
I’m Dirtman – an American living in Korea, exploring worms, compost, bonsai, and the magic of slow decay. I talk to my bin, trim tiny trees, and let food rot (on purpose). Whether you’re here to learn, chill, or get inspired to start your own soil journey, welcome to the dirt.

In South Korea, over 98% of food scraps are diverted from landfills — turned into compost, livestock feed, or biogas. We're extending this legacy by partnering directly with major food brands to capture kitchen scraps at the source — before they hit the bin.

These brands collectively operate over 2,000 outlets nationwide, generating significant volumes of pre-consumer food scraps, vegetable trims, and surplus ingredients.
We're currently piloting back-of-house collection systems at selected stores, integrating with kitchen workflows and reducing disposal volumes while generating clean, traceable feedstock for our worms.
Each partnership represents a step toward circular waste solutions in Korea's food industry — unlocking new value from unavoidable waste, and helping brands reduce hauling costs and carbon emissions.
